Thermal Cell Cartridge

Will the new safety regulations allow me to pack a curling iron operated with a thermal cell cartridge (highly flammable) in my check-in luggage? How about pepper spray?

Am I the only one using this gadget?

Maybe I'm not getting any feedback because "thermal cell cartridge" is not a familiar term; it's also known as butane cartridge.

They have always been banned from flights...checked or carry-on.

I too understand these are not allowed, but call your air carrier to confirm.

Besides, nowadays, most hotels have air blowers in rooms, though I usually don't find them strong enough for me and bring my own. As to a curling iron, I bring a regular curling iron with appropriate plugs and adapter if out of country and have never had a problem.

Unless you plan to be somewhere where there is no electricity would you need a butane curling iron. You may be out of luck if it's a "no, no" on a plane.

Where are you going that you feel you need pepper spray? While it is legal to carry in some places, in many others, it's illegal. So check this for your destination and whether you can take on the plane.

My boss just took her curling brush with thermal cells to the UK in carry-on luggage. I know because I packed for her.
