The Most Photographed Places in the World

This is a Google "heat map" that shows where the most photographs uploaded to their Panoramio site were taken.
http://www.sightsmap.com/

The top ten places in the world are:
1) New York City
2) Rome
3) Barcelona
4) Paris
5) Istanbul
6) Venice
7) Monte Carlo
8) Florence
9) Buenos Aires
10) Budapest

Least photographed areas seem to be central Africa, most of Greenland, northern Canada and northern Russia.

Interesting to look at.

Of course, if Google doesn't know about it, it didn't happen....

True, especially when Google Glass is released.

Or, perhaps it does happen, but nobody cares.

If google glass takes off I'm thinking of wearing a mask. Although apparently there is software now that can recognize a walk. Welcome to 1984.

Google Glass taking off is enough to turn me into a Luddite.

It's coming. Google has now come out with a user manual to promote socially correct behavior. To no avail of course, plenty of people will be glassholes.

Professional bowling is using them for instant replays already.

Hope you find a nice mask!
