Hi,
We will be spending 19 days in Spain in a few weeks. I am looking for a iPhone app that I can also access and sync from my MacBook Pro tor journal our trip, add photos and link to social media to share with friends and family. Can you suggest something you have used and loved, along with pros and cons?

My wife and I run our travelblog using Wordpress on an iPad app and on our MacBook. It does sync seamlessly. But then many blog applications do that. It used to be a bit cumbersome but improvements to the app have made it reasonably user friendly. I download photos from our camera or iPhone to the iPad. It is great as a permanent record of our travels but is somewhat labour intensive in terms of writing copy, but you don’t have to do that.

I have just about lost patience with Facebook but like marvelousmouse, my wife raves about Instagram and us3s it quiet extensively. I use it just to keep update with family in Australia.

I use FB and Instagram a lot, but I want something that I can actually write more and have it in one consise stream. I found PolarSteps and might try that out.

If you plan on publishing your trip later I would second the recommendation for WordPress. The mobile app is good enough and you can get started for free. We host ours at ourthirdyear.com if you want an example of what it could look like.
