Hello! We are traveling to Pasadena with our 20 year old daughter for MonsterPalooza in April. Planning on 7 days. Major questions..nearest airport? Would Pasadena be central enough for touring or should we stay somewhere else after the 2 days in Pasadena. Daughter is a special effects makeup artist so Hollywood and LA need to be major destinations. Family loves hiking and the ocean. First trip so any advice for best things to do/see and best central location to start our days from would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

But - nearest airports to Pasadena are in order 1) Burbank, 2) LAX, 3) Long Beach, 4) Ontario, 5) Orange County

Agree with janisj, mentioned are the nearest Airports. I would say Pasadena is central for your southern California trip. You will have better access all other places including Hollywood and LA.
