You can do the drive in around 5 hours, including a brief rest stop, but if you want a more interesting drive, take the A-22 to Huesca, about 3-1/2 hours driving time. You can go on up to Jaca, in the Pyrenees if you'd like. It takes another hour. You can spend the night in the Jaca area, in the beautiful Tena Valley (www.valledetena.com/), or drive on for another hour or so and spend the night at the Parador in Sos del Rey Católico. From there you follow the N-240/A-21 into Pamplona.

There are several good options for spending the night in the Tena Valley, but one of our favorites is El Privilegio de Tena (elprivilegio.com). Other options would include the Panticosa Resort (www.panticosa.com) and La Casueña (www.lacasuena.com).

You have several good options for places to stay in and around Pamplona. If you want to stay outside of the city, then you can check out Nobles del Reyno de Navarra (www.noblesdelreyno.com), with 12 enchanting rural hotels to choose from.

If you want to stay in the city, where you can walk around with no need of the car, there are dozens of good choices. If a Marriott Rewards member, then you should choose the AC Ciudad de Pamplona, one of the cities best hotels. If not, then you'll find several good options at www.hotelespamplona.com, everything from 1 to 5-stars.
