Question Re Laptops
I have never traveled with a laptop before and from what I have gathered, I will need to remove the laptop from my bag before going through security. Anything else I should be aware of or is this it? Thanks in advance for all the help!
|
No, that's it as far as airports.
But where are you going? If it's bewteen the U.S. and Europe (for example) then you need to deal with electrical issues. |
Thanks for the quick reply suze. Traveling to Washington state, so I won't have to worry about electrical issues.

You have to remove the laptop during the security screening.
It has to be in it's own bin as it passed through the detector. I travel with my laptop all over the world. You just have it ready to drop in the bin when you get to the belt. |
Thanks bubba! Also, I'm assuming most airports have wifi?

I travel with mine all of the time. Not all of the airports have free w-fi; here is a link to assist...
http://www.wififreespot.com/index.html Also make sure that you have the battery in the laptop charged. There has been a few times when they actually wanted me to "boot up" the computer in the security line to confirm it's a "real" computer...Hope this helps! |
Wow - thanks PAMom1 for letting me know that! Thanks for the link, too -- gonna check it out!
