You can start with the Fodors' guide. It all depends if you want to see the really "popular" ones or due to time limitation, you can only make so many stops.
Best way to cramp as much into a single day or week is to find a private guide with a vehicle. Give them the list and go crazy. Give Romecab a try and book their "stabdard" day tour. I like DarkRome for their Vatican private tour. When you say popular "tourist", do you refer to arts, buildings, history, museum, music, dining, shopping, religion or what? Unless we knwo your interest, it is hard to make suggestion. |
welcome to Fodors kpsteve. You have sort of posted on the wrong forum. "Travel Tips" is mainly for general travel topics. See the 'Change Forum' pull down menu? Click that and re-post your questions over on the Europe Board.
(Or another way to do this is to click the 'Report Abuse" triangle. That gets you a direct link to the Forum monitors and you canb ask them to move this thread to Europe) |
Rome has many tourist spots. You can go to the Colosseum. It's one of the most popular places there. You can also try and visit Vatican, St. Peter's, Trastevere, the Trevi and a whole lot more.
