Pill Fob for abroad

Hi,

I am looking for a nice pill fob for me to carry around while abroad. I don't want the cheap ones from walmart or amazon.

Anyone know of any good ones?

Thanks

pill fob...maybe you could indicate what that is?

When traveling overseas, I keep medication (OTC and prescription) in the original package. I don't think TSA and customs would be wild about random, unlabeled pills. Just something to consider.

I'm still wondering what a "pill fob" is!

I'm assuming you mean something for a keychain? Amazon has a nice selection of metal ones. Search "pill keychain."

Hobbert: >>I don't think TSA and customs would be wild about random, unlabeled pills. Just something to consider.<<

Totally untrue. No requirement for original containers or labels.

Janisj- US CBP indicates on their website that medications should be in the original package. Additionally, I certainly can't speak to all customs requirements in every country so the safest thing I can tell the OP is to keep his/her meds in the original package. Sure, bring along a pill fob but make sure to have the package as well.

>>Sure, bring along a pill fob but make sure to have the package as well.<<

Totally unnecessary. Customs does not ask travelers about medicines one is carrying and the TSA website (who actually look inside your bags) says "<i><blue>We recommend, but do not require, that your medications be labeled to facilitate the security process. </blue></i>"

Not even original labels let alone original containers

Janisj- are you saying that you know for a fact that no country requires original packaging for medication? I certainly don't. Again, US CBP states the following: "If your medications or devices are not in their original containers, you must have a copy of your prescription with you or a letter from your doctor. A valid prescription or doctors note is required on all medication entering the U.S."

I don't really understand why you recommend against taking the original packaging for meds. It takes up so little room and the OP can always put his/her daily meds in the fob.

Do what you want . . .

Some original containers are ENORMOUS.

(in over 100 overseas trips I have not once been questioned about meds, my late father took more than 300 overseas trips, was on many meds/supplements, and always took just weekly pill organizers)

My experience is the same as janisj. No one has ever once looked at my medications.

I've been traveling internationally all over the world (anywhere from 5 to 8 trips a year from the US) for over 35 years - no one has ever asked me about or even looked at my medications. I have never carried them in original containers.
