Passport Question
Can anyone tell me--what happens when I bring my infant daughter from the Dominican Republic to the USA and her passport does not have a entry stamp-just an exit stamp.
She was born birth abroad and received her passport in Dom Rep Thanks |
Are you saying that she will be entering the US for the first time? With a US passport with just an exit stamp from the DR? Or is it a non-US passport?

Are both parents US citizens (with US passports)?
If so and you have a child born outside the US, you must report the birth to the US embassy or consulate for the proper form to allow you to enter the US with the child. Apply for a SS# for the child if you have to file US income tax. Here's hoping that the birth certificate you got will pass the INS scrutiny. |

The OP states the child already has a passport so none of that is relevant (it was obviously already done). |
There's always the first trip for kids born overseas. Besides, it says right on your passport where it was issued, so not to worry. You are fine.

Thanks to all for the answers (Yes she does have a USA passport)
SO she will be ok for entry to the US port--- I am satisfied this will be sufficent for entry with no hassles |
DD was born abroad, US citizen, had her passport issued by the US Consulate in Bermuda, absolutely not one problem travelling in to the States the first time. Enjoy your trip!
