Paris

I'm in planning to go to Paris for the day with Eurostar. I live in Cardiff do debating which transport to use to get to and from St Pancras - whether I've got enough leeway to book into eurostar checkin when I get into London. I want to leave Cardiff as early as I can. There's a national express bus at 2:45 which arrives at Victoria at 6:30. But that meansive got to transfer to tube to get to St Pancras. The earliest train from cardiff is around 5:30 and exchange at paddington. I'd like to go May 10th. Which would be the most preferred and can someone help for the return.

Might post over on the Europe board
for more specific responses. I sure
would make more time if I possibly could.
WAY too crammed for me.

Good luck!

I don't really wanna tour the whole of paris. Theresa bus outside gare du nord 42 which takes u to eiffel tower. I'm sure 5/6 hours is a far day trip out in paris. I'm going solo so dnt wanna spend more than a day there.

Kevin, I can't imagine going to Paris from Cardiff for the day. But if you must, while I'd almost always prefer to go by train, I think this is the time to fly, if ever there was one. There are direct flights from Cardiff:

welcome to Fodors kevinkevin. See the 'Change Forum' pull down menu? Click that and re-post your questions on the Europe Board. Not only is that board hundreds of times more active, there are several locals (from both Cardiff and London) who will have better ideas about your connections.

(Flying would be better IMO unless you are willing to stay overnight in London)

If you do want to fly, Flybe is the only airline into Paris (CDG only choice)from Cardiff.

The problem may be getting RT flights that work for a 1 day itinerary. Or train 1 way, fly the other depending on schedules. Is there no possibility of staying over at least 1 night in either London or Paris?

I've changrd my mind. I'm staying one night in Paris. Will make it easier. Gives me advance to wander round for longer.
