New Traveller

I am wanting to get into travelling outside of Canada and the US. I have thought about going solo but have decided I would like to use a adventure tour group for my first couple trips. Is there any you guys can recommend? Or point me in the right direction? Not looking for anything terribly expensive.

Age? Budget? Destination? What you want to see/do?

Which is no doubt why you have also posted on the SA board. You don't need to post here as well.

thursdaysd, The other post is a different request. It's about going solo. This one is about joining an adventure tour group.

If it's about SA it still belongs on the SA board, where it will certainly get more attention.

Oh didnt realize posting for tips and advice in the tips and advice section was wrong! Sorry didnt mean to make you upset!

LJT-
Perfectly OK to post here or wherever else you want to. I frequently post the same question at once on several sites. For example, I posted a question about insecticide bracelets on 3 sites - got replies on Tips site and Lounge site and none at all on the Caribbean site, which is actually where we'll be going.
(Lounge is old members only - in both senses of the word!)

I don't think anyone is upset. It is fine to post here but just for reference -- this board is more for general travel topics like insurance, apps, camera equipment, etc. or for suggestions when one has no idea where to travel. It is sort of a grab bag and doesn't get too much particpation.

When one has specific (or even just general) places in mind it is almost always better to post on the relevant geographic boards.

Nein !
Verboten !
You kannott post in zwei diverrent plazes !
Of course post wherever you like.
You'll get more feedback about tours in South Amerika on the SA forum and more general answers here.

Take me for example I would advise you to choose a tour with people sharing the same condition : young guys - beach/no beach - party/no party culture/drinkers etc.
Being the guy who has opposite needs/expectations than the rest is not good ...

Have a good day !

Please feel free to post wherever you want on these forums!

You are welcomed here.

It's just not too many people read this "Travel Tips" branch, is why I encourage you to post on other branches as well.

LJT -
You also may want to google "adventure tours" and see which tour groups have itineraries that interest you.
Then come back to Fodor's and use "search" to find out what Fodorites have already posted about these companies.
