Canada: Point Pelee National Park http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/on/pel...l/natcul5.aspx
Point Pelee is a sand point jutting into Lake Erie below the town of Leamington, Ont. It is one of Canada's smallest national parks and easily driven by car. In the spring it is even better known for birds migrating north, followed by hordes of goggle-eyed birdwatchers.

Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve is in Mexico,Caribbean region of UNESCO. This is the best place to see cluster of butterflies on tree limbs and fourteen major butterfly colonies located in these rugged forested mountains. At the time of winter season, especially, Angangueo celebrates its Festival on each year on February. The festival named as "de la Mariposa Monarca" also known as Monarch Butterfly Festival. The festival includes events related to food, music, dance and exhibitions of arts, crafts and more. So you can enjoy and gain some experience about the monarchy at February. ENJOYYY..!!! :)

Angangueo is in Michoacan, Mexico, which on the Pacific side of Mexico, not the Caribbean. There are tours there from various places in Mexico, but probably the nearest large city is Morelia, the capital of Michoacan. I heard a report on NPR that these winter nesting areas are extremely depleted in the last few years, so I guess the time to see this extraordinary natural phenomenon is ASAP.
