Men's tall size nylon travel pants

I am a big fan of nylon travel/hiking style pants - lightweight and easy to pack. I am an average-Jane size, so I can get these anywhere. My handsome hubby, though, is 6 feet 7 inches tall - 36" inseam. Everywhere I've looked online assumes that all men have a 32" inseam. We are going to Europe this fall for 3 weeks, and he really would love to find these pants (Royal Robbins or Patagonia, for example) in his size. Anyone know where we should look?

I saw a clothing store "big and tall" so this is what I've googled. Got a long list of stores.

Yes - thanks. Big & Tall stores tend to have plenty of twill khaki type pants, but not the nylon or microfiber that we're looking for, particularly in a "known" brand. The closest I've found at these sites is a microfiber sweat pant. We're hoping to find a nicer look.

You're right! I went to the Patagonia website, typed in "long pants", the search gave me something, and guess what... all standard inseam! Grrr...

Did anyone ever find a men's tall travel pant with a 36" inseam. The link is not exactly what we are looking for.

Try REI. They offer a nylon pant in 36" inseam. http://www.rei.com/product/784062/re...mens-36-inseam

I just was at REI and they have Long -- but how long I don't know.

I bought two pair for my upcoming trip -- a dressy pair from REI and a still amazingly nice inexpensive pair from the athletic section in Penneys. I really like the hidden zip pockets.

BTW Penney's online will do dockers any length you want up to about 36 -- but those aren't what you were asking about...

Hi Melissa,

I would recommend Columbia Sportswear's convertible pant meaning the pant leg zips off making the pants into a pair of shorts. These are light weight and come with a 36" inseam. Go to www.columbia.com and look under the big and tall men's section. The ROC pants that come in a 36" inseam are also awesome, but are made of a heavier material.
I love my tall man! Good luck, SeaShell
