Looking for travel app (iOS) to map my custom walking tour...

Hello. I am looking for an app that allows me to plan my walking tours for the cities that I visit. I scour the forums looking for the places I would like to visit -- including museums, restaurants, etc. I'd like to be able to plot those on a map and plan a walking route. I'd like to be able to use them both online or offline, when visiting those cities. I'd like to be able to view these on a map and be able to click on the locations and call up my notes about why I want to visit those places. If I could save my individual routes by the day, that would really be helpful. I've used google maps both with a browser and with the app, but it doesn't meet my needs. Hope there's something out there! Thanks.

From what I read in your post Carib you sound like a perfect candidate for a phenomenom called 'Digital Memory'. You might want to read up on it and give it some thought.
Here is one article to start: http://www.sciartinamerica.com/3/pos...o-see-art.html

Although it is referring to photo taking in particular it doesn't take much of a leap to realize that the same applies to anything you do that takes your eyes away from what is in front of you and has you looking at a device instead.

Use a map by all means to find a museum or whatever but then put the map/device away and use your eyes.

If you haven't seen Every Trail it might work for you. I think you have to buy a premium version for off-line use.

You will also find lots of walks already in place.

I use Pocket Earth. You can map your route, save it, then use it offline.
