London in November ?

Hi all

Am thinking of going to London on my own in mid November. How's the weather ? Will it be extremely cold ? Its my first time there so intend to visit all the touristy sites. Any advice ?

my best advice is to also post this on the Europe board, because there are many more readers there. good luck with your trip! kindly -Suze

I've been to London several times (solo) in November. It's not terribly cold. I just had a leather jacket and a scarf. Museums in London are free and you'll stay warm and dry in them.

My daughters are going for 5 nights in a couple of weeks as well. You'll LOVE London. Have a great time. I think London is the best solo destination. There are so many things to do and so many other people coming and going you never feel alone. If you do, hook up with one of the London Walks and you'll meet interesting people. www.walks.com

There are several threads on this solo traveler board that will provide you with a lot of tricks and tips for traveling alone.

For basic info on London, check the Europe board as Suze suggested.

If you have any specific concerns about travelling alone that you aren't getting an answer for, please ask here - there are a lot of very saavy solo travelers who can help you out.

(Wonder if kb9855 went and if so, how was it??) I've only been to London once in November -- weather was rainy, but not unduly cold. One thing to keep in mind is the shorter days -- less daylight if that is a concern to someone travelling solo.
