Honeymoon in May
 

Hello, my fiance are planning our honeymoon in May 5 - 12th. Honesty we are just overwhelmed. We have a bugdet of about $8,000 and have looked at Antigua, Anguilla, Turks and places in Mexico - Playa del carm and Cabo...

WE are both deal finders and want to find the BEST bang for our buck!!

Please help us!

I would recommend posting on the Caribbean or Mexico forum. This area does not get a lot of response.

A few years ago my wife and I went to a friends wedding on Turks. Wow! It is certainly now in my top 10 destinations in the world (and we are well travelled).

Check out Grace bay - safe, sheltered, crystal clear water, great beach (do I remember it is rated #1 beach in the world?) - our friends stayed at the Sandals resort - very nice, in the resort style, we got a great deal on a chain hotel just off the (Grace Bay) beach and saved a fortune.

Check out Parrot Cay if you want a private island secluded place in Turks and Caicos. (they have some nice package deals which may work with your budget.) Also Point Grace is really nice but also very quiet.

Anguilla is a great place for a honeymoon- Cap Juluca, CuisinArt and Malliohana are the top notch choices there.

I would second Anguilla as a honeymoon destination, and one of the pluses is that it is so easy to take a day trip to a neighbouring island. Antigua has some nice hotels/resorts/beaches too, but not my no.1 destination.
