Honeymoon Ideas?

We are planning a honeymoon in October or November and want to go somewhere exotic. We do not want to go to the Caribbean as we've been many, many times. We do not want to go to Hawaii or Thailand or Fiji/Bora Bora as we've been there as well.

We like beautiful landscapes, beaches, the outdoors but also enjoy museums, restaurants, and cafes.

We would appreciate any suggestions on where to go for our honeymoon.

Cape Town South Africa that would include the city, wine country, beaches, etc.

Greece-islands or driving trip including Athens and the various inland cities

Turkey-go to Istanbul and then over to Cappodochia(sp?)staying at the cave hotel and hot air ballooning.I would also include going down to Bodum and Kadasi(sp?) with all of the ruins and beaches down there.

In October/November the weather in Greece and Turkey isn't going to be the best.

Personally, I'd head to Australia, perhaps Noosa for a beautiful honeymoon! Or the lovely Cairns:

It's spring time in October so the weather should be fine for you.

Be careful about timings November is the start of the wet season there!!

Have a wonderful time wherever you decide to go!

Thank you everyone for all of your suggestions. All of those places sound amazing - now we just have to take the time to decide between those choices!

This may not be your thing, but right around the beginning of November is the best time to go to Churchill, Manitoba to see the polar bears. It was awsome! But must have arctic clothing, so not very tropical. Still, pretty exotic I think.

You might want to consider Italy also.

You can get all of the things you are looking for (beautiful landscapes, beaches, the outdoors but also enjoy museums, restaurants, and cafes) in Tuscany.

Spend some time in the Cinque Terre -- five unspoiled towns on the northern west coast of Italy. Water, some beaches, hiking through vineyards, great restaurants and cafes...

Then head for Florence (with a quick stop in Pisa to see the famous tower) and see some amazing art, architecture, museums and eat at some great restaurants and cafes...

Spend a few days in the Chianti region (south of Florence), find an agriturismo to stay at, visit the wineries...

And lots more.

Well I wouldn't consider Italy for CT and beaches and perhaps even hiking in October and November. Florence and other cities that could be enjoyed from Florence would be fun and a lot less busy regarding tourist. Daylight will be shorter of course. Museums, cafes and restaurants would be ideal for Italy at that time of the year but again not the seaside unless there is an unusual dry weather pattern.
