Girls golf trip ideas!
Hi! can anyone recommend a resort or location for a girls golf trip for February/March 2024? Group of beginner to intermediate level golfers looking for a long weekend trip, with nice accommodations & weather and good food. Anyone have any first hand or recent experience of a destination I could look into? We just returned from Wild Dunes on Isle of Palm in SC which was a very nice trip. Thanks all!

Do you mean in the States specifically -- or anywhere? Also - where are you traveling from . . . driving, flying?
If you are talking about the States -- you probably should post on te US forum (or ask the moderators to move this thread over there_ |
If you want a US destination in February or March consider a trip to the Naples or Bonita Springs area of SW Florida - great weather and plenty of golf courses to choose from. Take a look at the JW Marriott Resort on Marco Island. It's a beach front resort that offers priority access/tee times to two terrific golf courses . You can fly into nearby RSW Airport and take rental car or limo service to resort. Lots of great restaurants on Marco Island and downtown Naples.
Or look at the Ritz Carlton (their Tiburon Golf Course host PGA events every year) in Naples. Two championship courses and you'll be only a short drive from gulf shore beaches and dozens upon dozens of great restaurants. Other suggestions in the area include: La Playa Golf & Beach Resort Naples Grande Golf & Tennis Resort Lely Resort Golf & Country Club |

It is very well kept and looks like the pictures.

Lely is very nice.
Myrtle Beach is cool in the winter There are nice resorts with golf in the Bahamas which is close by. |
I'm not a golfer, but I'd look at the Palm Springs area. Lots to do, mild weather and a sweet little airport. Bonus: JetBlue often offers a nonstop flight from NYC (JFK) to Palm Springs.

For a weekend from NY I would look to Florida or the Gulf Coast, not CA or AZ. Hopefully a nonstop flight.
|
@mlgb - If I can catch a nonstop flight to Palm Springs (6 hours), I'll opt for that over Florida any day of the week. Florida is not everyone's cup of tea.

I used to like the Marriott Desert Springs Villas in Palm Desert, both for the lodgings and the golf course.
Be sure to look a the score cards before deciding where to reserve tee times. Especially if you aren't fond of forced carries! I didn't much like the public courses around Palm Springs, but rather the "down valley" courses. (Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta). I used to like Silver Rock as far as public courses and they have nice patio dining. |
