Free Packing Organizers
This morning I bought two pre-made curtains which come in those heavy plastic bags with the zippers. These two were about 30 cm long, 20 cm wide and 5 cm deep. I never know what to do with bags when I've bought linens but can't bring myself to throw them away. I have other smaller ones from when I've bought pillow cases, sheets etc.
Today I got an idea of how to use them for my upcoming trip. They're the perfect size to organize socks, underwear and other smaller items of clothing. I know some people use ziplock bags and that's great, but if you have these linen bags, here's a use for them!

That's a great idea. Because they are rectangle shaped, probably pack better than just ziplocks. I use ziplocks to organize a few small things, but if you put everything into them you have one 'slippery' suitcase!

I've used the bags that my blankets come in for traveling. It did help keep things organized and squish out extra air. As mine were pretty big, I was able to fit 2-3 full outfits in each one. That way I could just pull one bag out of the suitcase and everything I needed was in it (no pulling out multiple bags each day). For those one-night hotel stays, I could just pull out one bag and my toiletries from the car to take inside and leave the rest.

When I bring my cashmere clothes to the drycleaner (usually for pashmina), it comes back in a plastic envelope - not the flimsy plastic bags but actually quite a nice quality plastic envelope. I save those for packing sweaters on trips.
