Churning Credit Cards

Anybody do this on a regular basis to get points for hotel stays or airline miles? What cards/programs do you suggest now? Thinking of the Hilton Program. But SPG has been good to me as we'll.

The experts at gaming the system congregate at www.flyertalk.com where they trade codes and strategies like insiders at the stock exchange.

Churning, as I understand it, is signing up for a credit card, getting miles/points, completing the spending teas, then closing it, all within a few months.

Thanks for the flyer talk site.

Be careful playing that game as it might hit your credit score for opening and closing too many accounts.

Good point, I think you must have a very high credit score to go that route. I confess to having done it a bit in the past. Got 60,00 airline miles, and took a trip to Paris. Used the card on the trip, then closed the account well before the annual fee came due.
