Budget April Vacation Ideas

Hi- I'm looking for suggestions on where to go this April Vacation.
We are on a budget.
We would be traveling with kids and teens.
Would love to travel somewhere warm and near a beach!
But might be open to somewhere different if it sounds interesting.
We usually get a house when we travel- cheaper to cook most of our own meals.

We would be traveling during April vacation - which is the 17th thru
the 24th.
Right now airfare for those dates to Florida is about $400 to $500.
Which I think we paid last year but we had a free flight so that helped.

We have been to Anna Maria Island the past two years- which we all
loved! But maybe somewhere different this year.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

I just wanted to add that we will be traveling from Boston.
Thanks again-

San Diego would be a great destination, if you could get a reasonable airfare.
Crescent Beach, Florida is just south of St. Augustine and is a wonderful destination.

Thanks for the ideas! Someone mentioned Tybbe Island but I'm not sure if it will be warm enough in April??
I'm going to check into Crescent Beach as well.
What about an all inclusive to Mexico??

Mexico is a great idea! Easier to get to the Caribbean side from Boston (Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Mayan) but the west coast is also nice... Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, etc. April is great weather all these locations (be careful around the Easter holidays, they can be VERY busy).

New York would be great...I mean, it's nice to get out of the usual summer ritual of beaches and all. Try something to cool you down for the summer. And with a constricted budget, I recommend you to stay in Queens, it's really much cheaper there and most of New York's best sights is accessible from there, or you could visit some some cheap New York hotels online.
