Bringing beach towels -Greek Isles

We'll be on an OAT trip in late May-June that includes a week-long small-ship cruise through the islands.
OAT lists beach towels on their what-to-pack list.
Wouldn't you think the ship would provide towels even for going ashore? (the big ships do)
And is it warm enough for swimming at that time?
Thanks.

We took a synthetic chamois {The Absorber} with us when we went to Hawaii. The fold up very small and can be put in a baggie for easy transport.

They dry you very well and can be found online:

or other local stores. Walmart has them for around $10 each. Auto parts store have them too.

Good suggestion, Deb.
Thanks.

OAT is still telling people to take traveler`s checks! So much for their info!

Pat-
I know from past experience not to depend on the US OAT reps for the mini-details of a trip. Fodors is better- if you post on the right forum. Maybe Europe or Cruises can tell me about the swimming and whether the ship will have towels!
Otherwise Deb's got the answer.

Deb,
How big are those "absorbers"? Are they as big as a normal beach towel would be? The link doesnt list the size...

Thanks!

They are about 12" x 18" or so. They are really small and compact which is why I loved taking them with me. They take up no room at all and dry like a huge towel - very absorbent.

I fold mine and fit it into a quart size ziploc baggie. We have 2, each a different color.

They are great for what doing what they are supposed to do: drying you off; they won't wrap around you, not to sit on etc.

Several other brands are similar: Aqua Dry, Speedo Watershed Chamois Towel. Amazon has quite a variety of products with sizes.

Again, these are small compact and dry you off and are terrific for travel or pool and gym use.
