Beer Prices Around the World!
S owe have been traveling around world for quite some time now and one thing that never changes no matter where we are is the love for having a cold beer at the end of the day.
We have been collecting data from around the world for the average price of a pint and put together a detailed infographic, it is actually pretty cool, check it out - http://www.whoneedsmaps.com/beer-pri...n-infographic/ The winners and losers so far: Most expensive - Norway $10.42 USD Cheapest - Myanmar (Burma) $0.57 USD We need your help as we would like to know how much you paid for a pint in countries you have traveled to. So please structure your answers like this: Country - Australia Price - $8.00 USD REMEMBER - it has to be the eqiverlent to a pint 500ml and the price must be in $USD |
First of all I too share your love for a cold brew no matter where we are. However there are so many variables for me like first I don't remember :D but also it depends on the size. Sometimes it's not a pint but a smaller size. Then there is the place amd the locale. Expect to pay more in say London vs. Rangoon and then it will vary depending on locale. Expect a pint in say the Four Seasons to be more than the same pint in a local bar. That being said and I don't recall exactly but here goes.
The most was in believe it or not a bar in the Trump Tower in Chicago where a bottle of Absolut, 750 cc was an astounding $300.00. The beer was at least $10.00 and it wasn't a pint. The cheapest was a very large bottle, maybe 22 oz. Of Kingfisher beer in Ajmer, India for about $3.00. However that same beer in Delhi was probably double. Speaking of high prices in 2006 we cruised the Tahitian Islands and saw a 1.75 L bottle of Jack Daniels, here in the Chicago area it goes for about $35.00 but man $140.00 in Raietea. |
Country - Australia (Perth)
Price - $9.15 USD though I have paid over $11 USD and a pint here is 570mL |

Mittelfranken: .5 liter in a restaurant is around 2.80 Euro and in the store around 75 cents, 30-50 cents if you buy the cheap stuff.
