Arizona or Greece for summer family vacation

Hi all, two families of four wondering about a summer vacation and we’ve narrowed it down to Greece or Arizona. We ate from Canada, and we are thinking about going in early July but will one or both be too hot? Help!

Depends in part where exactly in Arizona, but July temps are typically 100+ degrees F in Phoenix (for example, per a quick Google search).

Go to Greece if you want to see Greece. Go to Arizona if you want to see Arizona. I can't see how else you could decide between the two.

Greece will be at least a seven hour time zone difference. Arizona could be zero.

Weather? It's summer so sunny dry and hot in either.

Travel time? Depending on where in Greece you want to go you're going to lose at least a day each way. Also depends where you're coming from. Small town northern Ontario is going to force you to travel to a larger city for the flight.

In the end it depends on what you want to see and do.

Hard to find two more different places so difficult to make a recommendation w/ knowing more about you. But both will be HOT to very HOT. Where did you plan on visiting in both places - and why? Grand Canyon, Sedona, or ??. Athens, an island or two, or ??.

If you have enough time than easy. Go to Greece.
You have many places to choose from besides Athens.
If you choose Greece then post on the European board for ideas of what to see.
You could spend weeks there so you may want suggestions to narrow it down.
