30th birthday in January
 

Hi! I am turning 30 next January and wanted to take a trip somewhere outside of the US. I was thinking Machu Picchu, but I think that is the rainy season and I want to do the hike up there. Any ideas? I want to go somewhere warm (no Europe). I will be going with a friend of mine and plan it to be about a week. Thanks!!!!

How about Mexico? January is a lovely month in places like Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Zijuatenejo, Cabo San Lucas, etc. etc.

I don't think 1-week (7 days) is sufficient time to do a South American trip anyways.

Egypt is fantastic at that time of year. :)

If you're really interested in Machu Picchu, repost on the Peru board and ask if that's a good time of year or not.
