Wildlife in Brazil and Argentina

I will be visiting Brazil and Argentina in November, and plan on going to Salvador, Rio, Iguazu Falls, BA, El Calafate, and El Chalten. I think I have everything here to satisfy my urban as well as hiking fixes, but seem to lack wildlife anywhere. Is there a place you would recommend in Brazil and/or Argentina that provides good wildlife viewing opportunities, either land or water is fine, for November?

In Brazil, the most popular places for wildlife are the Pantanal and the Amazon.

See my trip report for one Amazon option, there are also other trip reports on the Amazon and the Pantanal. Use the search function above.

Are those places okay for November? I read up briefly on the Amazon, but was dissuaded by it because the materials mentioned that it would be the rainy season.

We were in the Amazon in December, it rained a little each afternoon and continually for one day out of 5.

The Pantanal definitely is a good nature destination. The rains will likely be starting in Nov. Who knows now, some years no rain. Sometimes rain in dry season.

When I asked the guides their favorite season in the Pantanal, many said Nov because right after the first rains everything truns very green.

Wildlife is seen more easily in the open areas of the Pantanal than in the dense jungles of the Amazon.
