Another thought: how about a day in San Isidro (by train) and some time on the Delta ? Perhaps a day trip to other nearby small towns? That way you can avoid the airports altogether and focus on the wonderfully varied barrios of Buenos Aires and the small towns in easy bus/remis/train commute.

And the pampas ? With an estancia ?
