what to do in Buenos Aires during Shrove (Fat) Tues.

I just realized that we'll be in Buenos Aires during the last part of the festivals, which is sort of good news/bad news for us. I understand that Tues. Feb. 25 is a national holiday and most things will be closed. However, I'm told there will be parades both Mon. night and Tues. night (like Carnivale in Rio). Unclear to me whether most places will be closed Mon. during the daytime, too. Does anyone know if there are hotels with balconies, like in New Orleans, where we could watch some of the parades? I know they'll be in different neighborhoods. We spent 5 days in BA a few years ago so we've already seen the typical tourist sites, so I'm trying to figure out what we can do during the daytime. As always, thanks in advance for your advice.
