Weather in May at Machu Picchu?

I know that weather is something that you can't predict....but what is the probability of clear weather in May at Machu Picchu? It should be post-rainy season, right? Anyone have experience with bad weather (cloudy, etc) in May?

May through September is the best time to visit Cusco and Machu Pichcu. The rainy season is over and it's the ideal time to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu if you're a trekker.

However, weather is always unpredictable in the Andes, and there will be sunny weeks in the rainy season and wet weeks in the dry season so make sure you pack accordingly. Also nights get rather chilly in this area.
Even if you get some rain, this is such a magical region that it will not matter so much, you'll have a great time!

Happy Travels!

On May 16th we had clouds till about 10 am, then gorgeous sun and cool temps all day. Others we spoke with had similar weather on May 15 and 15.
