Valparaiso Hotels - January 2018
 

Hey there, my husband and I will spend 3 nights in Valparaiso in Jan 2018. Looking for a nice characteristic hotel in a safe area, with comfy rooms, good views over the ocean/city, good breakfast and customer service, and mid-level luxury. Price-wise, we are looking at no more than US$ 200-215 per night. We've narrowed down to the following based on room selection, pricing and TA/booking reviews -
- Casa Galos Hotel & Lofts
- Hotel Boutique 17
- Hotel Boutique Casa Vander
- Cirilo Armstrong Hotel Boutique
- Somerscales Hotel Boutique

Leaning towards the top 3. They're all located in a similar area and get pretty good reviews. Anyone here who might have specific feedback/preference/advice for or against any of these? Anything on safety? Anything else we should consider when picking a hotel for Val? Thanks!

Hotel Boutique 17 is nice and has good views. Do be aware that most lodging on the hills is in renovated old houses and there are no lifts (elevators).
