Overall, we had a great time on our trip to Peru. There are some things we might have changed (will get to that later on in the trip report) but looking back, we are glad to have visited all of the places that we did. I'm trying something new for this trip report - instead of going through each day by, I'm going to cover the trip in geographical sections (Cusco, Sacred Valley, Inca Trail/Machu Picchu, Amazon, Lake Titicaca, and Lima).

First up is Cusco! I hope you enjoy the trip report and photos!

Thanks Rach--

Too bad you all had to split a cuy! As I recall it was tasty but there was not that much meat on the bones!

Looking forward to reading more.

Up next is the Sacred Valley. We took a full day private tour from Cusco to Ollyantaytambo through Alpaca Expeditions. We stopped at Chinchero, Maras, Moray, and the Ollantaytambo Fortress.

Your pictures help explain how Lima has become such a magnet for foodies.

The next one is a bit of a long one. We spent 4 days in the Amazon Jungle and saw so much! We stayed for 1 night at Refugio Amazonas Lodge and 2 nights at the Tambopata Research Center. It was a dream come true and some of the bast days of my life so far!

Enjoy the trip reports and photos -

This next part of the trip report was a tough post to write. We were looking forward to Lake Titicaca but it was not what we were expecting.
