We did the Iguazu /Foz journey twice last Novemeber. Not to the airport but once to go into Foz town and the other to see the Brazilian side of the falls. It is straightforward enough just to get a bus from the main bus station in the centre of Puerto Iguazu to the immigration post border and then change buses for Foz. The bus will drop you at the station in the centre of Foz where I guess there will be buses to the airport if not taxis are plentiful. The drivers on the buses to the border seemd very helpful.
Alternatively, you could get a taxi from Iguazu all the way to the airport which may be bettere if you have lots of luggae or there is more than one of you.
Being English we got a 40 day visa for free but if you are a US citizen I think you have to pre arrange visas which are quite expensive.
