Time Line for booking Machu Picchu??

Pretty much go it alone with bookings and with the help of these boards now ready to start reservations for our up coming trip.
Followed the instructions and signed on to the Machu Picchu website when I reached the reservation number sections (3). A notice appeared on the screen which said "no se puedo registrar la reserva, reinicie la aplicacion" help! not sure what that means. I'm booking for Feb 2012 is that the problem?

That means (loosely): "The reservation cannot be registered. Retsart the application."

So a lot of self guiding too soon for booking

stay flexible LOTS of rain flooding in Feb

in fact the train tracks have washed away then

a couple of years ago.

April May would be a tonne better time to go...

Thanks for the translation, will try again. We will be hiring a guide/driver for this journey as with my disability it uncomplicates things.
Do enjoy the research, booking accommodation and reading Fodors forums.
Timing is out of our hands as it is a lead in to a Fjords cruise.

Are you booking the Inca Trail along with your other Machu Picchu trip items? If so, the problem might be because the Inca Trail is closed every February to allow the land to recover from the year's visitors and trekkers.
