Taxi between EZE and AEP airports

We will be passing through Buenos Aires and transferring from the main airport to another airport for the flight to Ushuaia.

I have seen the excellent posts regarding making sure to get an official taxi from the airport kiosk.

My questions:
What should I expect for the approximate cost?
About how long should I expect the taxi ride to take? (We are scheduled to have a bit over 4 hours on the way "there" and about 3 1/2 hours on the way 'back".)

Thank you.

Hi Peter,
When ? AEP is being renovated and all flights are going through EZE ..
It is about 15 minutes from downtown .. right along the River .. not very far at all.
But if you arrive while the work is being done, you will remain at EZE ... as far as I know.
You would definitely have plenty of time left over with 3-4 hours between flights.

Here, I found this online ..

I assume you are coming after early Dec., when local flights are scheduled to again leave from AEP.

Cost: as shown here http://www.taxiezeiza.com.ar/tarifas.html Taxi Ezeiza charges 148 pesos.

If those "4 hours" and "3 1/2 hours" you mention are the time between when one plane is supposed to land and the other takes off, I feel you are certainly cutting it much too close.

When you return from Ushuaia, be sure NOT to take a cab from the line waiting outside the AEP.

Have a great time in our country, Peter R.

Thank you both for the information.

We will be traveling towards the end of January, so it sounds like the construction will be over by then.

The times I mentioned derive from the scheduled arrival and scheduled departure. I suppose it is too late to do anything now about their cutting it too close; we will have to hope for the best.

If we are not to take a cab from the line waiting outside the AEP, will there be a kiosk similar to what has been mentioned at EZE?

Peter

VIP , World Car and Taxi Ezeiza are all right there to grab, inside the building :- )

Ack ! I am sorry, I mistook your question for outside EZE ... I am pretty sure the kiosks are the same at AEP though ..

The better, safest and cheaper option for transportation between EZE and AEP would be taking a Manuel Tienda León bus, they work specifically within the airports and they provide a regular service every day. They offer other options as well (remis, minivan, limo, etc)for contact information, booking and price list better check their web-site: www.tiendaleon.com

You absolutely cannot take the bus (which leaves every hour and is most likely slower) Peter, because you may not have enough time to make the connections, even boarding a remise.

I suggest you reserve a remise with Tienda León to do the two trips between the airports and keep your fingers crossed.

Have a great time in our country.
