I wouldn’t spend extra time at MP. A few hours post trek should be fine for most people. Allow min half a day for Ollantaytambo ruins and village. More would be better as it’s a nice place just to chill after your trek. Stay overnight if poss and then I would visit the main SV sites like Moray, Maras and Chinchero on your way back to Cusco. Takes 5/6 hours. You can organise a taxi to do this for you in Ollantaytambo on the plaza or pre arrange with www.Taxidatum.com or via your accommodation.

Another taxi tour (or public bus) is to go to Pisac, explore the ruins, get bus back towards Cusco but get off at Tambo Machay and then follow the old Inca paths back to Sacsayhuaman via Q’enka and Puka Puccara. Takes around three hours for the walk which 8s easy and level. Sacsayhuaman is great in the late pm and you can walk back down into Cusco via San Blas in 20 mins or so. NB. I believe the Plaza /market area in Pisac is under construction works at present and the market has been moved so that may impact your experience there some what. The ruins themselves are unaffected but the market has moved elsewhere apa
re.

Rainbow Mountain is a tough high altitude hike 5500m . I would really only consider after REAL acclimatisation (I.e.months rather than days) . It is a very early morning start. Given the time you have, I would prefer to stay in Cusco city exploring the markets ( Wanchaq and San Pedro) , the streets of San Blas, the plaza etc. Lots to do. See what else is left on the Bolleto Touristico e.g. Qoricancha etc

That's too bad that they moved the Pisac market and are tearing up the town plaza right now. That seems to be par for the course in Peru. (Chachapoyas and Ayacucho went through the same thing, as did Chinchero I believe?).

I agree that you should allow at least half a day day for the Cusco markets, Qoricancha and the route suggested by crellston walking back from Sacsayhuaman.

There was trip report including some photos of Rainbow Mountain and she was glad she took the horse.

Yes, I got the “frikkin horse” and I may have eaten a little dirt
