Solo travel in the Galapagos

Is it possible to get a single cabin on any of the boats in the Galapos with paying for two people?

Hi joy,

Check out the Eclipse for designated single cabins:

I can highly recommend the ship & enjoyed my single cabin in March 2010:)

We loved the Eclipse as well - pics here (although I think it has been refurbished since our trip)

how exciting to find a trip that doest charge 200%

if the cruise lines understood the changes happening to independent travel they could keep every ship full.

instead of 4 trips a year, 1 transpacific is the best I can do.

I did with Galapagos Travel http://www.galapagostravel.com/
because I was willing to share a cabin if another solo female booked. Since none did, the cabin was mine for no SS.

I think that is still the case. Galapagos Travel does trips for 16 max, smaller than Eclipse. But the designated single cabins are a nice guarantee of no roommate and no supplement.
