Save the Salar de Uyuni

The Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest untapped lithium reserve possessing almost half the world’s known supply, equivalent to at least 5.4 million tonnes. Massive projects are under way to industrialize the Salar and extract the lithium, which would result in a total ecological and human disaster.

What do you think ? Should Man go for profit against Nature, deteriorating the Planet one step further ?

Please tell how much you care at

HI, I personally think that this should not happen and even though it may sound eerie , tourism operations on it should also be prohibited, as I don´t know ANY company who could be reliable or professional enough to operate them , all they do is disasters and tourists are just overwhelmed by what they saw that , are so weak to complaint! Salar should be left alone and until a serious and responsible tour operators appear there should not be any activity there! already 72 tourists have been killed there(did u know it?)
