Salta hotels
 

Can any of you recommend a moderately-priced hotel in Salta (preferably not more than $100 per night) near the center of town? I looked at the Web sites for several Salta hotels, but thus far none of the Web sites I looked at show any rates. I sent a few of the hotels an e-mail (inquiring about rates), but haven't heard back yet. In the meantime, I am interested in knowing whether any of you have any recommendations.

Posada del Marques is my favorite. It is in town, nice breakfast, close to nice restaurants, close to dwntown if you like sightseeing at night. you ca take great pictures of the buildings at night.
Other options... Hotel del Antiguo Convento, Posada de los Angeles... Carpe Diem...

Thank you for the suggestion. The Posada del Marques's Web site does not show prices either. I will send them an e-mail.

Thus far, none of the hotels I have e-mailed have responded. It's very strange: I have viewed the Web sites for at least a half-dozen Salta hotels, and none of them show prices, and none have yet responded to my e-mail queries.

It is near night life – a 10 minute walk to Plaza The folks speak english and were very responsive to our request for rooms. I think this is within your price range.

Posada del marques is inexpensive... the price is about $200 pesos argentinos... for a double room, breakfast included... Nice location... Great place...
