Safety of Travel to Bogota for Children

My ex wants to take my children, ages 9 and 12, to Bogota this summer. His girlfriend is from the area and has some family there. They are planning to stay near the World Trade Center. My boys are fair-skinned and blonde. Should I be concerned with them traveling to Bogota, Colombia? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Was just there overall quite safe in

Bogota particularly in the North of the City

where the upscale neighborhoods are great security

cute little yellow labs in blue uniforms

patroling airports hotels felt the safest I have

ever felt down there some downtown areas dodgy though.

travel.state.gov for parental permission requirements

Happy Deciding,
