An inroom safe where you reset the code? I usually feel ok with those.

Does the hotel advertise in-room safe?ome small places only have a safe at the front desk, you leave you stuff with them..

tthe small hotel I used had a buzzer at the front door..so no one they didn't know could gain entry.

We visited Buenos Aires last month with 3 of my friends and we didn’t have any safety problems. Of course, we wore money belts under our clothes so as not to get too much attention. We were very careful with the taxis as we’ve heard about these taxi overchanges. So as long as you keep your eyes open everything will be fine. We also did the free English tour that starts from 11.00 a.m. from Recoleta cemetery and it was great.

I always use hotel safes. Haven't had a problem so far. I generally stay in apartments, not hotels, but I have stayed at 3 different hotels in Palermo over the past couple of years and didn't have any issues with the safe in any of them.
