We would like to be in Rio de Janerio for the carnivals which I believe is in February?? . :-) We would like to visit Buenos Aires before Rio. Countries like to go are Chile Brazil Argentina Peru, and maybe Bolivia any other suggestions or good experiences to tell on countries mentioned or not. Are they expensive?? Also lastly is Belek the best place to start the amazon trip, and how much does that cost? People your feedback and posts will be very apprieciated and I hope we are there in same time to experience this trip :-) All the best guys |

Not really, there is no 'boat Manaus Rio'. How it would be the best beats me, but then again quovadis has never been to Brazil.
To give any meaningful advice, you would need to stipulate, your timeframe, interests and budget. What you have so far is a list of commercial websites of dubious value. Belem is a pleasant city, infinitely more so than Manaus, which is both squalid and fairly uninteresting to the casual visitor. That said a boat trip from Belem to Manaus will place you on the broadest stretch of the river so essentially you will spend 4-5 days looking at distant banks passing by. The cost of a trip depends o whether you are doing a cruise or whether you are taking local boats, it's a big differential and again depends on tastes, budget and how much time you have. Maybe try posting on the Lonely Planet site with some specifics, you'll get better informed responses there. Good luck. |
