Recs NEEDED - 4 Day Brazil Beach Getaway

Hi,
I will be in Brazil for 9 days at the end of October, arriving and departing from Rio. I have been to Brazil several times before (Rio, Florianopolis, Buzios and the CITY of Salvador only). As much as I love Rio, I think that 4 days will be sufficient and and would love to travel someplace within the country that has beautiful beaches, good weather, and also some access to nightlife/restaurants.

We are looking to go to this destination arriving Monday, departing Thursday. We were considering Morro de Sao Paolo, but are concerned that it might be a little complicated to get there for such a short period of time. Are there any other Buzio/Florianapolis like destinations that we could hit?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Kathy

hi there! sorry it took so long to see your message --- i actually don't remember that many specifics other than that it is beautiful!!! you hike to these amazing beaches. its not overdeveloped. there are lots of cute little pousada type of spots to stay. the food was delicious. all my memories (although specifics have faded) are wonderful. its absolutely stunning.

this place was recommended to me by a travel agent in Brazil. I didn't get a chance to go, but plan to soon.

I have been to Ilha Grande, to a resort called theislandexperience.com. Personally, I didn't love it because it was a lot of yoga (don't like) and the hiking was tough on my silent reflux (didn't know it'd be a lot of uphill climbing!!!) BUT it's a small resort where you get up early, do yoga, eat really healthy, hike about 6 miles a day, kayak, and get massages. It's good for weight loss and to de-stress. We did go into the town one day for a little bit and it seemed cute-underdeveloped for sure! But small and very local feeling to it. It is beautiful! No cars and very isolated.
