Private Tour Guide for Quito, Ecuador

Can anyone recommend a private tour guide to show a family of 3 around Quito for a day? We are looking for someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, and speaks English.

We hired Lincoln Guaman for our trips outside the city, but did the city on our own ... with a hop-on hop-off bus first, and later on foot. We also had a city tour with Celebrity as part of our Galapagos package.

We were very happy with Lincoln's services, and would use him again ... you can reach him at [email protected]. He has some standard tours, but we customized his offerings based on our interests. I'm sure he would do the same with a city tour (which he does offer).

If you'd like to read more about what we did with him, take a look at my blog ... everything about Quito and Ecuador is in the July 2012 archive. This is the link to the first post of things we did with Lincoln -- http://2totravel.blogspot.com/2012/0...-of-world.html

i realize this is a late reply but we also hired Lincoln - yes that is his real name. He was fabulous - we paid a daily rate and everything was included. He drove us to Banos where we were planning to stay for a few days but the volcano exploded - and poof - he came up with Plan B. He has a great late model 4 wheel drive and knows Quito as well as the rest of Ecuador backward and forward.
