Princess still not cooperating
The March 2 cruise on the Princess Star is now in Rio and over. I've called Princess numerous times to get a refund for the cruise, but they won't budge on their stance of NO REFUNDS. I don't understand how they can take your money and not even give you a credit for a new cruise.
I've read that only 700 people were able to get on board the ship. Does anyone have an idea on who to contact to report Princess to? Or how to get a refund? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
Don't know if you've checked Cruise Critic on this subject, but there are several threads, both on Princess Cruises and the Star. Lots of mixed opinions. Mostly disgruntled passengers who cancelled/missed the cruise who feel Princess is responsible and should offer some sort of compensation. And those who disagree and feel travel insurance should cover the missed trip. Lots of information there. www.cruisecritic.com

I always get trip insurance and pay with credit card
if you did this dispute and do a merchant reversal. ALWAYS get my money back that way... Actually had a suite on Star Princess aka the Love Boat wrapped a propeller on an underwater cable in the Adriatic gave me a free suite at the Excelsior in Venice and a free cruise so they do this... Good luck, |
At this point I would focus on trip insurance or your credit card company and hope you do have one of those to back you up.
After that I'd say you need a lawyer. Maybe there will be a group claim. |
Have you posted this on FODORS' Cruise Forum? Perhaps someone there can offer some additional help. Princess' behavior is
incredible and shocking since you could not get to the ship due to the earthquake. |
