Prepaid SIM card for Northwest of Argentina
Hello,
We will be travelling in Northwest of Argentina, from Cordoba to Salta and around San Salvador de Jujuy. We are mainly planning to visit some quite remote places, partially located on high elevations.
I would be grateful if you could recommend a prepaid local SIM card with good coverage for calling and data transfer for this part of Argentina.

There are three mobile operators active in Argentina: Claro, Personal, and Movistar. Of those Personal is the one I would go for and make sure to buy from one of their stores rather than a reseller making sure everything is working before you leave. IME I would expect too much coverage outside of the cities and along highways. We had very little to no coverage in more remote areas (i.e. most of the time). If relying on spout phone for navigation, make sure to download the region on google maps before leaving.
