Peruvian Cuisin in the US?
 

Not that I am having a hankering for Guinea Pig or anything, but I am curious what Peruvian Restaurants there might be around the US. I am guessing I will have very little luck finding one here in the midwest region, but I am just as curious about restaurants all across the US. Good ones especially! If you know one, post it and it's city/state!

Cool! Didn't think it would be that easy. Have you had any personal experiences at any Peruvian restaurants here in the states? Would you highly recommend any? Not that I am going to hop on a plane and head straight to one, but I would love to know in case I end up going to a city where you have experienced a good Peruvian restaurant.

No, I know a couple in London but not the States. No reason why they shouldn't be good as there are many Peruvians spread around the world.

Had dinner there on a recent trip to Toronto. it was good. The Sangria was a bit strange. It sort of had a Creme Soda taste - I think they used Inka Cola to make it. :)

Toronto is probably closer than a lot of other options. fun city too so I like that idea. Mental note, stay away from Sangria though. Thanks!

I have enough family all over America though that I might very well have the opportunity to hit nearly all of these. Thanks ALL!

Update, I happened upon a Peruvian restaurant in the Cincinnati area. It was called Sabor Peruano. I read a few reviews online which were good. My wife was quite happy with what she got, my dish was ho/hum. My dish reminded me of something I would have gotten at a diner 40 years ago. If I lived in the area though, I would certainly go back and try a different dish based on everyone elses experiences.

My next mission is finding one that serves Chicha!

It's been about a year+ since I've been there, but we usually go with a group and just order lots of the small plates to share.

gaston acurio (peru's number one cheff) just opened its cevicheria LA MAR in san francisco. Another peruvian cheff that is doing great is the one from resturant Mochica he has one in Beverly Hills! :)

La Mar Cebicheria Peruana, Gaston Acurio's first NY venture, recently opened. It is located on Madison Ave. near 25th Street.
We are looking forward to dining at Astrid y Gaston in Lima in January.
