I think that would work. We stayed at the Rio Sagrado hotel just a few weeks after it opened and it was really nice.

When we were planning our Peru tour we just copied some of the tours that Peru tour companies used and that seemed to work quite well.

Looks GREAT for a well thought out Luxury Tour

Your Lima Hotels not that great

Radisson Decopolis Miraflores better views spa rooftop pool

from $120/nt or so on www.expedia.com other sites

would stay there both nights in Lima better upscale value

Still might take Diamox to prevent altitude illness.

might also check www.tripadvisor.com reviews on Santuary Lodge

Rooms dates sort of remote and expensive still worth it for me

to be closest to MP their claim to fame

www.inkaterra.com and Sumaq are the better hotels though

in that area...most prefer those...

But really think you are fine with SL

have fun,

If you can afford Miraflores Park it is nicer than the Radisson.

It looks like an Orient Express excursion. I recommend on Day 4 including a tour of the Sacred Valley and to Ollantaytambo, leaving from Olly on the train?

It seems like a very fast paced trip so yes you may want to consider Diamox but ask your physician if it's ok for you.

Thanks for the feedback! I work in the travel business but this will be my first trip to Peru. It's my vacation but I'm also trying to get a lot in so it will help me with my job too. I'm not used to luxury--we usually head to Costa Rica & hang out with the wildlife but I need to see the Orient Express properties so I guess I'll have to suffer through a little luxury on this trip. I definitely want to squeeze in a tour of the Sacred Valley--I was thinking of adding it on Day 3 but I'll decide once we get there.

I am very concerned about altitude sickness so I will speak with my doctor about the Diamox. Thanks again!!

Since this is a luxury itinerary, check out Tunupa Restaurant near Ollantaytambo (actually on the way to Olanta).
