Peru Final 15-day Itinerary Help Needed
 

Really need input on this final itinerary for May 2017 trip. We elected to skip Lake Titicaca and Puno for the Amazon. Need to know if we're allowing enough/too much time at any of these stops; also modes of transportation, and any other thoughts you have. We don't want to be rushed. We could add one more day to the trip, flying home day 16. Where to add it? We're two 60+ year old independent traveling women. Love nature, archaeology, people, history.
Fly into Lima - then fly or take bus to Arequipa (leaning towards bus)
Day 1-2 Arequipa (Nights 1 & 2)
Book 2-day bus tour to Colca Canyon from Arequipa (non-trek tour)
Day 3-4 Colca Canyon (Night 3)
Night 4 Arequipa (book day bus to Cusco)
Take day bus to Cusco on Day 5
Day 5 Cusco (Night 5-6)
Book Day tour to Sacred Valley
Day 7: Sacred Valley (Night 7 Cusco? Or can tour leave us off in Ollantaytambo?)
Bus to Ollantaytambo Day 8 or can this be doen as part of the tour?
Day 8 Ollantaytambo (Night 8)
Book a train ticket on the “Peru Rail” and head to Aquas Calientes in the morning
Day 9 & 10 Aquas Calientes (Night 9)
bus up to the ruins of Machu Picchu for afternoon-evening
Day 9 and 10 in Machu Picchu
Day 10 evening BACK to Cusco
Cusco (Night 10)
Day 11 flight to Amazon Tambopata Amazon Rainforest tours
Day 11-13 Amazon (night 11 &12)
Day 13-14 Lima (Night 13 and 14)
Day 15 fly home
