Peru - City Driver/Guide that won't break the bank?

We are a family of five (2 kids aged 9 and 12) travelling to Peru in April and would like to do tours in Lima, Cusco and the Sacred Valley at our own pace and tours that won't break the bank. Can anyone recommend a driver/guide who would show us the sites at an easy pace?

In Lima you might look into the double decker bus tours which give you a better view than from inside a cab.

In Cusco and the SV there are guides available for hire at the individual archaeology sites, taxis are quite inexpensive. Some hotels can arrange English language guides for you but be aware that an expensive hotel will tend to overcharge for such a tour.

You might look into leaplocal.org for independent guides.

There have been some local guides mentioned here over the years, read through the trip reports.
