Perito Moreno best tour and hotel
 

4 guys looking for the best way to experience the glacier with a tour/climb.
We are going to be in Perito Moreno for a full day dedicated to the glacier, day of the week is tuesday... I dont mind spending the money for the right experience even if its the most expensive to get the most out of the day and the glacier hike. We are all very active and in shape.

Which company would you recommend financial considerations aside? Also whats the best hotel in the area? ideally with some nightlife

We did it today via company called équinoxe.
Picked up from el Calafate - perfect.
They organisé trekkings that last a few hours.
We sleep at alto calafate at el calafate - very good hotel.
We did : bus - boat - walk - return with bus. Not a full day. With a 3 hours trekking you'd still be back before 8 pm.

We walked around el calafate looking at all the tours. They all seemed the same and were priced the same. Decide on which type ofo tour you want. We did the basic trek on the glacier, but from your descriptions I imagine you should seek out a more rigorous one. Do a google search and you'll see the different levels of tours they have.
